ONe of UNICEF's focus area is child survival and dvelopment, the programme delves into the seetig of early childhood education by painting a bigger picture.
According to the UNICEF statement (2012)
Every child must be ensured the best start in life – their future, and indeed the future of their communities, nations and the whole world depends on it.
Two weeks ago we sent out emails to international contacts on the background of establishing profesional contacts and expanding resources. Our goal to grow in our understanding of their perspectives on some of the issues and trends and to broaden our knowledge about available resources in the field through studying one early childhood organization’s website.
Having not entirely been successful as yet in the endeavour, I subscribed to some international newsletters, one was in the UK, the programs name is Hope for Children. The program has been establised for more than 20 years. Their mission is to which works towards a world where children’s rights are realised and they can reach their full potential. The website has resources on their volunteer work in Uganda, one of their main areas of focus in helping orphaned, poor, exploited and other marginalised children. I am very interested in the work that they are currently doing, I will also send an email reaching out for more information and hopefully to establish them as an international contact.
